Why MosaDiscovery?
Once you’ve acquired a foundation of vocabulary, it’s important that you keep learning with words that you find in context. This is a more efficient way to grow your vocabulary.
And that’s why we created MosaDiscovery. This tool allows you to:
- quickly find the meaning of a word on any webpage or online video
- easily add this word to your MosaLingua app to review and commit to your long-term memory using the MOSALearning method.
Please note that MosaDiscovery uses Google Translate, which is currently the most robust translation system available. However, it is far from perfect. There will be errors, particularly if the translated word has multiple meanings that depend upon context. So please read these translations with a critical eye. (Doing this will also help you memorize the new vocabulary.) We recommend looking up the word in an online dictionary later to fully understand the word’s different uses.
Frequently Asked Questions
This is usually caused by 3 things:
-
You’re adding the cards to the wrong app. Make sure the language you’re learning is on top and that the language you’re learning from is at the bottom. Also, if you’re learning a language that has more than one app, make sure you’re adding it to the one you’re learning (General, Business, or Medical).
-
You haven’t used the app yet. Please make sure you open the app and set it up first. Here’s how to locate it:
- If you’re on our website, click “VOCABULARY” at the top of the page. If you don’t see this, it’s because you’re using a device with a relatively small screen. Click on the three lines at the top right of the page and the word should appear.
- If you’re on an iPhone, you’ll need to download this app.
- If you’re on an Android, you’ll need to download the app of your choice from this page.
-
You’re using the wrong email address for MosaDiscovery. Please make sure it’s the one you use for your MosaLingua app, as seen under the Settings page.
The cards should appear in the Learn menu. You’ll also find them by navigating to Explore→Useful Lists→My new cards.
Please note that the Learn menu is only available after you’ve studied the cards in the Review menu.
If they aren’t there, please try syncing your account in the app’s settings.
On a computer and tablet, you’ll find the Settings button on the bottom left.
On a phone, you’ll have to click on the More button first.

There are two types of passwords on MosaLingua:
-
One for the website
-
One for the app/MosaDiscovery
You are probably adding the one for the website instead of the one for MosaDiscovery.
Please try changing the password via the settings in MosaDiscovery.
You’re probably trying to tap on the language/app selector. Please try sliding your finger up or down instead.

Netflix and YouTube subtitles can’t be highlighted, which unfortunately doesn’t allow the use of MosaDiscovery on a mobile device for these platforms.
This is usually caused by an issue with the password.
Please try changing your password directly on the MosaDiscovery login page, even if you’re sure the one you’re using is correct.
If that doesn’t fix it, please contact us at support_en@mosalingua.com.
