đź’¬MosaChat-AI is a conversation tool powered by artificial intelligence. It was designed to be used by language learners as a way to practice written and spoken expression in real time. The bot will interpret your messages and provide answers (and corrections, if necessary) in the form of flashcards that can be added into your MosaLingua app.
💬MosaChat-AI was designed to provide opportunities for practicing what you’ve learned with MosaLingua so far. You can have a conversation with the bot to simulate an interaction with a native speaker.
AI (artificial intelligence) will begin the conversation in your target language, and you will have the option to reply in writing or via voice message (click the microphone icon). The bot will respond in the same language.
This gives you the chance to add a little bit of speaking practice into your learning routine in a low-pressure setting. We recommend that you keep your practice sessions short (less than 30 minutes), and that you speak at least three times a week.
We also recommend that you prepare for your conversations by reviewing any vocabulary or sentence structures that you want to practice. You can even prepare questions about the language that have come up as you’ve studied. The system should be able to provide a good explanation.
đź’¬MosaChat-AI was developed based on ChatGPT technology, an artificial intelligence tool that generates natural-language content. This technology is still in its infancy, so you might see incorrect or incoherent responses from time to time.
It’s important to be aware that the tutor might make some mistakes. The tool is updated regularly, so you can expect gradual improvements over time.
If you have doubts about anything the tutor says, you can ask for confirmation, or simply if it’s sure of its answer.
No, spoken responses are optional. You can also type your messages on the keyboard.
To send a voice message, click on the microphone icon. Your message will be transcribed into the chat box, and you can edit it before you send it. If the system had trouble with your pronunciation, you can try recording again before sending.
Practicing with 💬MosaChat-AI is a great way to work on improving your speaking and writing skills, but it doesn’t replace interacting with native speakers. Real-life conversations require you to think on your feet a bit more!
However, 💬MosaChat-AI is the perfect tool for preparing for your first live conversations. After you’ve practiced with 💬MosaChat-AI for a while, you’ll be more confident when you set off to communicate with native speakers.
You can deactivate the automatic speech by clicking on the “Automatic speech” button at the top right. You can also choose to listen to one particular response by clicking on the play/pause button underneath the image of the tutor.
This might happen. Sometimes, the system might suggest a correction even if your sentence is correct. In this case, you’re certainly not obligated to make any adjustments. If you have doubts, you can even ask the tutor to confirm its response.
Please also remember that artificial intelligence is still developing technology. This is why you might come across strange or incorrect notes. These errors will become fewer and fewer as the technology improves.
It’s totally normal to feel a little lost if you’re a beginner. Don’t forget that you can use MosaDiscovery to quickly look up translations for any words you don’t know.

This might be happening because your surroundings are too loud. It’s important to be in a quiet place when you practice speaking and listening with 💬MosaChat-AI.
It could also be the result of pronunciation errors. Have a look at which words are wrong in the transcription, and look up their pronunciation online. You can also ask the tutor to pronounce the word in question to target the correct pronunciation.
Finally, it’s important to note that voice recognition programs are not perfect. Though they’re always improving, it’s possible that you might run into problems sometimes.Â

Your MosaLingua Premium subscription includes 600 free credits, which translates to about 600 minutes of conversation with eTutor AIda (breaks and pauses are not counted). With these 600 free minutes, you can have forty 15-minute conversations or twenty 30-minute conversations. We do recommend that you keep your sessions short and frequent!
These credits will be renewed with each annual renewal of your MosaLingua Premium subscription. If you use all of your credits before the end of the year, you also have the option to purchase additional credits here.
When you use đź’¬MosaChat-AI, pauses and the time that it takes to draft a message are not counted.
Credits are only spent when you’re actively exchanging messages with eTutor AIda. This means that you can take your time, and even leave the page with your 💬MosaChat-AI conversation open in your browser.
Our calculation of 1 credit = 1 minute (so 600 credits = 600 minutes) is based on an analysis of our beta testers. In reality, 600 minutes is a minimum; a user who takes lots of pauses or who exchanges more slowly will spend much more time per conversation.
